NPR Music App Reviews

9/25/14-Amending my previous review. Theyve fixed the crashing issue! What used to be a 5 star app is now a 1 star app. For the past week it has crashed every time I try to use it (on my iPhone w/the latest OS.). I miss my NPR Music! One of my favorite apps by far. I hope they release an upgrade soon

I love npr music outlets but this app does not allow intuitive navigation or easy skimming in the car or on the go

The iPhones music and article search + save for offline features are sorely missed from the superior iPad version.

I do love NPR and the great stuff it puts out. In regards to listing to "First Listen," it would be great to have the track listing of what Im listening to, as opposed to just the album cover.

This app is in desperate need of a tune up. The connection drops unexpectedly even with a strong wifi signal. Why do we donate money every year to NPR if it doesnt get put to good use?

I agree with most of the reviews. The app offers great music, hundreds of stations and great programs like All Songs Con., but perhaps because theyre non profit and cant afford much bandwidth or some similar problem, the app loves to both pause and crash for no apparent reason. Still have to say its more than worth exploring.

The NPR music app includes functions you can get on the website such as first listen, which is great in theory. However, the app consistently crashes. Right now, I repeatedly cannot even open the app, because it immediately crashes. Many times I cannot access the functions such as radio stations I would like to listen to. This irregular access has unfortunately only increased over the 2 years I have had the app. Deleting it and reinstalling it has not improved the errors.

Cant even open the app to give it any rating so zero star for now

I downloaded this app to my iPad this morning, but Ive been unable to open it. Ive tried several times throughout the morning and it crashed every single time before it even opens all the way. I use the app on my iPhone and love it, but apparently its worthless on my iPad. Anybody else having this problem?

This awesome app(in concept) has introduced me to many artists over the past couple years. HOWEVER, it crashes more than any app I have. In fact, Im writing this review in frustration because it wont even open over past two days...I NEED MY FIX, NPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to love this app. I would listen to the weekly All Songs Considered show with Bob and Robin. I love the First Listen feature. But ever since upgrading to iOS 8.1, the app crashes on opening. And on the rare occasion that it doesnt crash, I cant play anything with any reliability at all. Moreover, the First Listen playlist doesnt seem to be updating. This used to be a 4 or 5 star app for me, but not right now.

recently this app has been closing not only on my iPod but my friends iPhones as well

Can you please optimize this app for iPhone 6 plus? I like it, but I deleted all my scaled up, non optimized apps cuz they look pretty bad on the larger iPhones. Thanks.

Absolutely Awesome My favorite app period. Everything about it works & adds pleasure to my life.

This yousta be a great app. But for the past few months whenever I call it up, I just sit there and watch a half dozen gray screens trying to load videos, which does not happen. Maybe my iPad is getting old, but I dont have this problem with other apps. Yousta be 5 stars, now its just gray screens trying hard...

I like the app but I wish it gets a makeover. It looks too outdated. Absolutely love what NPR is doing by giving us early streams of albums. Thanks for that but please update the app.

This ap is unbearable. Crashes every time an article is opened. Really painful. Do not download!

Love the app... But it stops updating new music previews after a while... Defeats the purpose. Please fix that.
