NPR Music App Reviews

The app offers a lot of choice. Im not a huge fan of the layout, it makes navigation a bit confusing. Id like a sleep timer too. Overall though, this is a great option for those who are looking for a wide array of music to suit your mood. Support public radio and TV!

This app no longer works. Using the new iOS and it wont even open. Too bad.

Somehow, I ended up with a "subtitles"prefs screen which is impossible to get out of. Perhaps a complete iPad re-boot? Sigh.

Will this ever be updated? It was once a favourite, but now it hasnt progressed since 2014. I know NPR One is the priority, but a dedicated music app is still important.

This used to be one of the best music apps out there, a go to app for great new music, but not so now. Video playback seems to have just given up in most cases and full of bugs. Badly needs an update or just remove it. Shame.

As someone who thoroughly enjoys the Tiny Desk concerts, the videos wont play on my new iPad Pro.

I installed this software only to discover that it does not function whatsoever.

Great content, forgotten app! I cant believe NPR hasnt updated this app. It has the design standards of iOS 6... 4 years old. May as well get rid of it and forget it. Pathetic.

I recently got the NPR app on my iPad Pro. They have many music genra to choose from. All affiliated stations come in super clear, & have good DJs. I have not listened for any length of time, but so far theyre almost ad free! I like the network & gave a 5 star review, thx NPR

Its a shame that NPR has is content with such a poorly designed app for its fabulous content. It takes forever to load even on a relatively fast internet connection. Why do all the videos have to load even when all you want to do is stream some music? Ill bet there are programmers willing to offer their services for free - if only NPR would ask them.

How has this app not been updated to conform to the newer iOS flat feel and look? It functions fine, but is very dated in terms of style. Baffling since NPR Music could be a cornerstone of the network.

I love NPR Music and all the amazing programming you provide, but this app is awful. You havent updated in 2 1/2 years???? Please update the app. Also, the app rarely refreshes, so "new music" is often out of date.

I hate to leave a negative review as Im a big fan of Npr. However, the First Listen section hasnt updated in over a month. I know the app always takes longer to update than the official site but this has gotten ridiculous. Dont get me wrong, I feel quite lucky to have this content freely available. My complaint is Npr doesnt seem to have any interest in holding their app to even a halfway decent standard of quality.

I used to love this app, but it no longer works on my iPad - I can open it and select a video to view, but all I get is a blank playback screen. The app freezes there.

The whole point of an app is to make it easier to access content. First Listens most recent offerings are from early September, but on the website you can get the most current content. Why should I bother with an outdated app?
