NPR Music App Reviews

It was a 5 star app for me until about a month ago, when the First Listen section was last updated. Dont know why its lagging behind the web site so much, but it is severely diminishing the app usefulness.

Last updated articles and music on September 8th, and since then nothing new has been released. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but to no avail.

Has this app been left to die by NPR developers? First Listen is quite behind, and when I went to leave feedback through the app I got "this page is not found".

10/27/16 - Back to one star, sadly. Ive used this app for years, mostly for the First Listen section (Preview new albums section), but the albums have not updated in over a month. Hoping for a fix soon. 9/25/14-Amending my previous review. Theyve fixed the crashing issue! What used to be a 5 star app is now a 1 star app. For the past week it has crashed every time I try to use it (on my iPhone w/the latest OS.). I miss my NPR Music! One of my favorite apps by far. I hope they release an upgrade soon

I enjoyed this app for a long time. Its sad to see it left out in the rain to rust away. Hopefully its a temporary neglect. At least let us know if this app will no longer receive updates!

Just as most reviews state; I love the content but please fix the app or let the users know what to expect so we can move on to something else! I click on videos and they dont play.... Do you just not care anymore? Is the the level of service we can expect going forward? Just let your users know. Thank you

First listen in iOS app stopped updating content more than a month ago. iPhone 6 iOS 10.11.

This app is great and gives great music quality and breadth. Also, keeps me from having to search for NPR music on the web! Its all here. Some of the navigation is not intuitive. Needs simplification!

Preview new albums section not working. App closes out when the listen button is pressed.

NPR has saved my life once again! There is spectacular music and I especially like the program World Caffe...

Every time I try to play a First Listen album, the app crashes. Seriously, every single time. Deleting the app and reinstalling it does not solve the problem. Please provide a fix from the development team.

App crashes on iPhone when first listen albums is selected. Used to work fine. iOS 7.1.2 user. please fix

Ive really appreciated this app but its having some trouble lately. Crashes when I attempt to play First Listen features. I got around it by adding the selection to my playlist & just playing it there.

No way to prove this, but the signal the app relies on is rarely steady, so as signal strength drops even slightly, the music is poof, gone. In my case, it seems AT&T is demonstrating they want me to pay more for their lousy service. Were the app set up to accommodate a fluctuating signal, all might be well ...for a while anyway.

This used to be a great app but recently (not sure if there was an update) it crashes when playing First Listen and either stops playing or after playing the album wont allow you to replay it.

It is constantly crashing and shutting down the app when I play a radio station. Is this because of iOS 8?Immediate attention is needed.

I love this app its great to be able to listen to my favorite jazz stations around the country. However in IOS8 the app stops playing anytime you leave it to open another app. Did not use to do that. Id like to have it playing in the background while I am working in other apps

Love the NPR music app, but it is horribly unstable. Its impossible to stream music because the app crashes when you hit play. The only work around that Ive found is to delete and reinstall the app, which unfortunately has to be done with some regularity...
